Committed to preserving Scotland's natural heritage
Timberbush Tours are conscious of the importance of preserving and maintaining Scotland’s natural beauty and how, as a business, we operate within our natural environment.
We have adapted and continue to promote environmental awareness within the business and to our customers. All of our vehicles are fuel efficient, with the latest engines and are all upgraded every 3 years to ensure maximum efficiency. Our Driver-Guides are trained to drive as safely and environmentally friendly as possible. In addition, our Reservations and Transport offices, where possible, recycle materials such as printer cartridges, paper, plastic, cans, mobile telephones and computers and are encouraged to leave the car and commute to work via public transport.
We also aim to support local businesses in Scotland when transporting passengers on our extended 2,3 and 5 day tours, so that they can contribute to sustaining local communities. This includes booking accommodation for you in locally owned hostels, bed & breakfasts and hotels, to ensure you have that authentic Scottish experience whilst supporting the local economy.
Our tour brochures are printed on FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) paper, which means that the paper used for printing is from responsible sources. We work and donate regularly to charities such as Trees for Life and It’s Good to Give, and our tours are often offered as prizes at fundraising events.
We are always thinking of ways we can improve aspects of our business to reduce the negative impact we have socially and environmentally. You can view our 2019 Corporate Social Responsibility Report here.
